About A Safe Start
Professional, friendly driving lessons in Brisbane — and a teaching style that makes you a better driver for life.
Correct teaching builds confident drivers
Here at A Safe Start Driving School, we believe the correct teaching improves performance and increases confidence and motivation. We help students deal with everyday challenges such as reverse parking, 3-point turns, parking in shopping centres and making good decisions in tight situations.
Our style of teaching will not only help you pass your driving test — it will help you become a much better driver all round. Owner and instructor Henry and the team have helped many Brisbane learners get their licence.
The learning experience
For safe, stress-free lessons we provide manual and automatic cars with dual controls, so we stay in control when things get difficult — we can take over from where we're sitting. Our friendly team works closely with you from beginning to end.
Our teaching style
Our teaching is built on years of successful driver-training programs. It's student-centred and active: teaching means much more than simply giving information.
Driver trainers
Your trainer works one-on-one with you until you get your licence, offering the best possible teaching and coaching. In other words, we train you to achieve your dream of getting your licence as soon as possible.
Thinking for yourself behind the wheel
We bring each student to the point where they don't depend on their instructor — where they think for themselves instead of waiting for instructions, corrections or advice. That makes it much easier when you drive with your parents, and it's exactly the situation in your driving test, where the examiner only gives directions.
Driving today isn't just about keeping the car straight and turning corners. It's about staying safe in a crisis on the road and building real awareness. A Safe Start is committed to training the safest drivers in Brisbane, worthy of public confidence.
